We have come across a number of incidents whereby individuals and organisations are contacting people under false pretence of offering employment opportunities that do not exist at Alliance Boots. The objective of these job offers is to trick the job seeker into making advanced payments or providing personal information in exchange for visas, air fares and other expenses. The recruiter/agent often demands several thousand dollars to be paid by Western Union transfer. Once the job offer turns out to be fake the recipient of the payment cannot be traced.
As a matter of policy Alliance Boots never ask for money transfers or payments from applicants to secure a job, either as an employee or as a contractor. We never ask for payments towards travel expenses or visas/work permits. If you are ever asked for such payments, you should assume that such offers or services provided by these individuals and organisations are not genuine.
When we carry out a recruitment process, a candidate will always meet in person with an Alliance Boots employee or representative for an interview before any formal offer is made.
Emails relating to employment with Alliance Boots will never be sent from a free, web-based e-mail account (eg hotmail, yahoo).
If your personal details are requested by anyone claiming to be part of Alliance Boots or a recruitment agent claiming it’s acting on behalf of Alliance Boots and you are unsure of the legitimacy of the request, or you wish to determine whether an individual or organisation is offering genuine employment opportunities within Alliance Boots, please contact us at enquiries@allianceboots.com
Alliance Boots take this matter extremely seriously. We pass information relating to these fraudulent activities to the relevant authorities for appropriate action.
