Working with HR Managers, you’ll identify training needs, create a plan that addresses those needs and deliver it. You’ll coach and advise line managers, helping ensure that your passion for the highest standard of training is realised all along the line. A born communicator, you’re able to build and foster relationships at all levels, raising the profile of training and encouraging best practice. You’ll regularly review things in your constant quest to develop new and innovative training plans. Where you lead others are more than willing to follow, so get ready to blaze a trail.

Developing our business is all about developing our people and you’ve got the ability to spot and develop potential wherever you see it. You’ll coach Managers and their teams, communicating key business needs and using them as the basis for a customer centred business plan. Your head for business and eye for trends enables you to identify opportunities and help us make the most of them. You know that the customer is key and you’ll ensure that they always get the best from our stores and our people.

From developing your staff to developing your store, it all comes down to you. An inspirational leader, you know how to get the most from your team and constantly challenge them to deliver more. You understand that the customer is at the heart of everything we do and will work hard to create an environment that meets their every changing needs. You’ll coach and develop your team, ensuring that they have the skills needed to follow your lead and constantly deliver customer delight. Planning resources, managing stock, minimising losses and controlling costs may form the basis of your day-to-day role, but you’ll also represent your store and Boots within the community, building and developing relationships while keeping your finger on the pulse when it comes to competitor activity. And while you have the eye for detail needed to create a great in-store experience, you also have the ability to see the bigger picture.

You know how to balance the need for change with the needs of customers, so even in the midst of major store intervention, you aim to ensure customers experience minimum disruption and maximum delight. Managing change is something you excel at and communicating the need for change and enabling others to see the benefits of it is something you do brilliantly. You have the drive needed to oversee a major intervention programme, ensuring that while changes are taking place, our team’s commitment to customers doesn’t.
You’ll help Managers develop the skills they need to strive for (and achieve) continuous improvement. You’ve got what it takes to make things better – and that’s exactly what you do.

You don’t just help people see the need for change; you help them develop the skills to deliver it. Managing a major re-branding programme and its associated store interventions is just the sort of challenge you thrive on. And your ability to deliver it, while minimising disruption is just one example of you ability to keep the customer at the heart of everything you do. Improving customer experience and the capability of our people is just part of the process. You’ll build and nurture relationships, working with Local Investigation Managers to resolve capability issues; with Divisional Property Development Managers to create a successful intervention programme and with Store and Area Managers to drive forward continuous improvement.
