Each summer we welcome over 100 penultimate year students to take part in our Summer Work Experience Programme. There’s no better way to prepare for your career than getting experience of the commercial world, before you graduate. Which is exactly what our programme is designed to give. You’ll spend six weeks on the shop floor, getting to know our customers and products and developing skills that will give you a real head start in your career and also in securing a Boots Pre Reg position.

Joining our Pre-registration Programme after graduation will develop the skills and knowledge you need to become a world-class optometrist. The Programme is specifically designed to build on what you’ve learnt during your Summer Placement. An important member of the team, you’ll be of real value to our customers, while you get to grips with the clinical knowledge and skills of a qualified optometrist. Alongside a range of thorough trainingcourses, coursework, mock exams and feedback, you’ll have the full support of an experienced team who all share your passion for providing the best in optical care.
