We believe that whatever stage you’re at in your optometry career, you should always have opportunities to develop your skills. That’s why we’ve created training programmes that are designed for people with all levels of experience, from prereg trainees, to newly-qualified Optometrists, to those seeking a management role.

Our prereg trainees get some of the best training in the industry. It’s one reason why our pass rates are much higher than average. And the support is just as good after your exams. Our post-registration programme, OPTOMise, smoothes your transition from trainee to newly-qualified Optometrist by supporting you to become a confident and competent practitioner. Later modules explore your leadership potential with the aim of creating the Practice Managers of the future.

We also deliver an extensive programme of CET (Continuing Education and Training) activities, such as lecture days and online learning materials. Then there’s our management development programme, which includes elements specific to Optometry.

We offer all of this because we’re as interested in developing your skills and career as you are. After all, if we’re going to be the best in optometry, we need to employ the best optometrists.
