Qualifications when I joined Boots: Degree is a BSc in Accounting and Finance

My career so far: I joined Boots through a graduate programme seven years ago. It was great; I got a wide range of experience and lots of support through my accountancy exams. Whilst on the programme, I worked as a Commercial Accountant in Photo, then as an Internal Auditor, and then as a Finance Analyst in the Format Development team. I then moved into Boots Opticians, which is where I am now.

My typical day: I genuinely never have a typical day at work. Sometimes I’ll be doing the more technical aspects of accounting, and sometimes it will be more commercial, such as doing franchising deals. At other times I focus on systems development.

The best thing about Boots: It’s the massive breadth of opportunity you find here because it’s such a large organisation.
